Thermo Scientific™ Hypercarb™ Porous Graphitic Carbon columns have been designed to allow for total pH stability, as well as retention and separation of highly polar components. These columns may be used in both normal and reversed phase HPLC and LC/MS applications.

The unique surface area of Hypercarb columns allow for retention of very polar solutes without the need for ion pair reagents or complex mobile-phase conditions. In addition, these columns are pH stable from 0 to 14, unlike typical silica-based columns. This allows you more choice in buffer selection, while handling high temperatures and pressures. Hypercarb columns also allow for resolution of structurally similar analytes, such as isomers and homologous series, which are not visible in traditional silica-based columns.
