More About this Item
Use this imaging station to quickly process and count colonies in research and microbiological studies. Simply place the colonies in the station, select the proper light source, capture the colony image with the integrated high-resolution color camera, and with the touch of a button, automatically count the colonies! The compact footprint is designed with the small lab bench in mind. Detachable doors provide a darkroom environment when necessary to visualize Green Fluorescent Proteins (GFP).
The intuitive user interface lets you capture, count and report sizing information for inhibition zones. The high-resolution digital color camera with autofocus captures images effortlessly with no need for adjustments. Select from one or multiple light sources: darkfield, epi and transillumination white light, and epi blue light.
Order the optional GFP filter to enable visualization of the GFP reporters. Extensive software functions offer image enhancements, annotation and reporting tools, and the ability to distinguish between positive and negative bacteria. Identify colonies as small as 0.08 mm in diameter. Easily define parameters including filter and color differentiation by group or size. With your user-defined intervals, capture images while your colonies grow. Capture your results in a detailed statistical report. Save images in multiple formats, create macros for repeat experiments, and export your data to Excel® or other programs. A range of light sources, lighting modes, and specialized software functions allow comprehensive functions for imaging, numbering, and quantitating single zones in addition to arrays.
