Designed for incubation and activation of cultures, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, melting/boiling points, and a wide variety of other laboratory procedures. Each heater accepts separate interchangeable modular heating blocks, which accommodate various sample enclosures such as microtubes, centrifuge tubes, vials, microplates, and PCR strips or tubes. Modular blocks are constructed from a solid anodized aluminum block. The close tube to block walls allow for maximum heat retention. Each block has a thermometer well for measuring block temperature. Optional PT100 RTD temperature probe kit enables the unit to read the actual block or sample temperature and display the temperature on the control panel. Digital Dry Block Heaters offer exceptional temperature uniformity and feature a proportional integrative derivative (PID) controller. PID control allows you to select a particular temperature with ease (in 0.1°C increments), enables rapid heat-up for samples, and provides excellent stability to maintain results. Features include timer, audible alarm, built-in temperature calibration mode, overshoot protection, and independent LED displays that show actual and setpoint temperatures
