This uncooled infrared camera measures temperature and visualizes gas emissions to accurately diagnose electrical and mechanical faults. The ergonomic design has a 180° rotating optical block, touch-screen LCD, and an eyepiece for use in direct sunlight. The camera can be used with multiple lenses that are interchangeable.
The lenses are spectrally filtered from 7 to 8.5 µm and 9.5 to 12 µm, respectively. The low-range (LR) lens are used for detecting methane, nitrous oxide, propane, sulfur dioxide, and refrigerants R-134a or R-152a. The high-range (HR) lens are for detecting sulfur hexafluoride, ammonia, and ethylene. The lenses allow the camera to scan components quickly, focusing on areas with small leaks that may be missed with a traditional TVA (Toxic Vapor Analyzer) or "sniffer". The efficiency of this leak detection protects the environment, lessens product losses, and provides a safer working environment.
