Use the heat index reading to help limit the dangers of heat-related injuries
- View wet bulb globe temperature (WGBT), ambient, dew point, and wet bulb temperatures, or RH on the large LCD
- Audible alarm with adjustable setpoint
- Easily calibrate RH in the field
These handy meters accurately calculate the heat index by measuring the temperature, humidity, and direct/radiant sunlight. Meters feature a black brass globe that measures the effects of direct solar radiation on an exposed surface. The heat index can be used in many work places and sports situations to limit physical activities in hot environments.
An adjustable WBGT alarm can be set between 68 to 99°F (20 to 37.2°C) where the values will blink with continuous beep until the measured value falls below the threshold or the meter is turned off. A tripod mount allows for long-term monitoring. Feature low-battery indicator and auto power-off. Easily calibrate using 33% and 75% salt solutions.
