Basic lab solution to collect and remove steam, odors, heat, and corrosive fumes
- High-strength 304 stainless steel resists corrosion and oxidation
- Create a turbulence-free airflow on top of the work surface or portable equipment
- Available in wall-mounted or ceiling-mounted configurations
The one-piece Hemco canopy fume hood design is efficient for fume collection and removal. The canopy hood is grade 304 stainless steel with a surface finish for improving resistance to oxidation, and resistance to corrosive vapors, heat, and steam from hot plates, circulators, mixers, and water baths.
The wall-mounted canopy hoods include a wall mounting kit for installation. The ceiling canopy hoods require mounting kit 33731-85 (order separately). The kit includes 4-ft (1.2-m) long threaded rods and components to complete a secure ceiling installation.
Optional accessories are available to improve fume collection. Add left- and right-side panels to improve airflow into the blower and prevent cross drafts, and panels serve as a chemical spill containment barrier. Light up the work area with a UL Listed and vapor-proof light fixture with switch and junction box wiring. And there is a convenient blower switch to attach to the canopy hood for running the blower. Exhaust blower equipment sold separately.
Use the following recommendations to match a canopy hood with a proper exhaust blower at 115 VAC. For the 36” ceiling canopy use 474 cfm, 36” wall canopy use 652 cfm, 48” wall or ceiling use 914 cfm, 72” wall or ceiling canopy use 1506 cfm, and 96” wall or ceiling canopy use 1771 cfm.
