Labconco Protector XStream Hoods are built for highest performance allowing them to operate at velocities as low as 60 fpm (minimum allowable face velocity per industry standards) while maintaining containment. Design negates the effects of air turbulence, vortexing, and interior air “roll.” Containment features include: Clean-Sweep™ sash track and sash handle that directs airflow into the hood; Eco-Foil™ air foil that corrects natural turbulence while keeping cords out of the way; and Opti-Zone™ baffle system with a unique slot pattern that balances face velocity so that less overall volume is required. The XStream passed strict containment testing, far exceeding industry standards.

Hood features a large unobstructed sightline — 37.5” from work surface to header panel — and provides unobstructed viewing into the hood. Other features include dry powder-coated steel exterior, chemically resistant composition panel liner, pre-set rear downflow dual baffle, safety glass sash, pre-wired LED lighting rated to 50,000 hours, sash stop located at 18” sash opening position, and 12.81” ID exhaust connection(s).
