Separation by size exclusion occurs when different size molecules are included or excluded from the pores of the matrix. Larger molecules, too big to enter the pores, flow quickly down the column while smaller-sized molecules enter the pores and pass through, resulting in slower progress through the media. This method is great for separating large molecules from the small molecules while preserving the biological activity of the particles to be separated. Recommended flow rate of 600 cm/hr. Stable over pH 2 to 13 working range.
