Offers high reliability with dirt-free, oil-free operation!

Cole-Parmer Instrument Company introduces a unique new, dry vacuum piston pump with the quiet performance of a scroll or rotary vane pump. Combining positive displacement, dry pump technology with a simple piston design, this pump provides high vacuum conditions, plus offers a long service life. It features a quiet, single-phase motor and integrated gas-ballast valve for improved vapor capability. The pump is easy to maintain, as replacement of wear parts such as seals and bearings requires no special tools or training.

Pumping speed is independent of gas species. The single-stage model has a pumping speed of 9 cfm and a base pressure of 5 torr. The two-stage model has a pumping speed of 5.5 cfm and a base pressure of 0.06 torr.

These operating characteristics make this pump well suited for use in analytical instruments including mass spectrometers, leak detectors, and electron microscopes, and in industrial, semiconductor, and medical equipment. It can also function as a backing pump for turbo pumps in high-vacuum systems.
