Internet-ready device controls up to four mass flow controllers from any manufacturer

Cole-Parmer Instrument Company introduces a new universal mass flow control system with an advanced electronics package. This module allows users to monitor a system of four flowmeters or flow controllers from anywhere an Internet-connected PC is available. Controllers are connected using their 0 to 5 VDC output.

Each flowmeter channel features a totalizer and dedicated alarm. There are also two dedicated relay outputs per controller (up to eight total), allowing process components to be controlled around predetermined flow points.

The universal module includes separate batch control and flow control programs. The batch control program allows for the execution of up to 16 steps in a batch process. The flow control program directs flow control through a user-defined series of up to 96 steps, ramping flow rates up, down, on, or off. All features can be programmed through the integrated keypad using menu-driven software, or set up via optional RS-232 or HTML/TelNet interfaces.
