These gridded membrane filters are made of cellulose nitrate, a material which ensures effective retention with high flow rates and optimum colony growth. Sterile filters are individually packed and sterile to avoid the possibility of contamination. These filters conform to EPA, having filter identification and lot number printed on each individual envelope. The certificate included in every package documents the quality assurance tests as well as the compliance of the 0.45 µm membrane filter with ISO 7704. Non-sterile filters are not individually packed. They are used for particle testing, microscopy and microbiology.
