Optical dissolved oxygen transmitters offer a variety of benefits of other sensor types. Sensor uses fluorescence to measure dissolved oxygen eliminating the need for electrolyte or membranes, and reducing overall maintenance costs. Highly stable optical technology reduces the need for recalibration making these transmitters excellent for long-term monitoring applications. Optical sensors are also flow insensitive, which means readings are unaffected by water velocity.
Two-wire design simplifies installation. 4 to 20 mA output signal can be directly connected to a chart recorder or datalogger—ideal for remote monitoring applications. Optional universal input display/controller (order separately) provides a local display for measured readings.
