Nonhardening formulations remain as a liquid on the slide and can be stored without sealing; the coverslip can be sealed around the perimeter with nail polish or plastic sealant. HardSet™ formulations harden after coverslipping; the coverslip becomes immobilized after 15 minutes at room temperature offering optimal antifade ability and refractive index.
